The 2019 Backpack Give Away: iGo’s Commitment to Community

InspectionGo and Verizon Wireless Zone recently teamed up to show their appreciation for the Tyrone community by giving away 500 backpacks to local children.

The backpacks were stocked with school supplies to celebrate the new school year!

The Third Annual Backpack Give Away took place on July 21 in downtown Tyrone, and it was another successful year! With the help of many local vendors, the kids also enjoyed games, prizes, face painting, and free food. The InspectionGo and Wireless Zone teams had just as much fun!

At InspectionGo, our commitment to the community is one of our top priorities. We don’t weigh our success by money, but by what we do with it. We are very fortunate to be in a position that enables us to give back to the community, and we take every opportunity to show our appreciation. Philanthropic projects give us the chance to thank the community we call home.

Kristin Davis, Content Strategist at InspectionGo, described the backpack event as one that “embodies all the foundational principles of InspectionGo: a commitment to philanthropy and a steadfast focus on community enrichment through multiple outlets. It was beyond a privilege to interact with the kids!”

InspectionGo, formerly known solely as EMG Brands, has grown rapidly since its launch in July of this year. As our company continues to grow, so does our team. An event like the backpack give away allows our new iGo employees to get acquainted with the Tyrone community.

Kendre Verbeck, iGo’s social media coordinator, got to participate in the event as a brand new team member. “I loved getting to jump right in to what this company is about – helping the community and giving back,” she said. “Seeing so many local kids excited about school supplies was a terrific experience.”

Community outreach is a major component of InspectionGo’s mission, as well as some of our most rewarding work. We look forward to creating many more community events in the future!
